Tampa Developer Plans 2,500-Home Master-Planned Community in Eastern Pasco County
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A Tampa-based developer is making a significant investment in one of Florida’s fastest-growing regions, acquiring more than 3,500 acres in eastern Pasco County for a new master-planned community expected to bring approximately 2,500 homes to the area. The project, known as Verona, will be located near San Antonio and represents one of the largest residential development initiatives announced in the county this year.
The development is being led by Eisenhower Property Group, which continues to expand its presence throughout the Tampa Bay region as demand for housing remains strong across Pasco County. Company officials say the community is designed to accommodate future population growth while creating a connected neighborhood environment that supports long-term economic development.
“Pasco County continues to be one of Florida’s most dynamic growth corridors, and Verona is an exciting next chapter in that story,” Eisenhower Property Group President Jeffrey Hills said in announcing the project. The company indicated that the community will be designed to strengthen local connections while contributing to the county’s continued momentum.
The announcement comes amid sustained residential growth throughout Pasco County, where new housing communities, infrastructure investments, and business relocations have fueled population gains over the past decade. Recent housing market reports have identified portions of Pasco County among the nation’s most active residential markets, reflecting continued demand from both in-state and out-of-state buyers.
While detailed site plans and community amenities have not yet been fully disclosed, master-planned developments of this scale typically include a mix of housing types, recreational facilities, open space, and supporting infrastructure designed to create self-contained neighborhoods. The Verona project is expected to play a role in accommodating future housing needs as the Tampa Bay region continues to expand northward and eastward.
Pasco County has emerged as one of Florida’s leading growth markets, attracting residential, commercial, healthcare, and industrial investment. Major projects including new employment centers, transportation improvements, and large-scale mixed-use communities have helped transform the county into a significant economic engine within the Tampa Bay metropolitan area.
The Verona announcement also highlights developers’ continued confidence in the long-term outlook for Pasco County despite broader economic challenges affecting the housing sector. Industry leaders increasingly view the county as a destination for families seeking newer homes, additional land, and relative affordability compared to more built-out areas of the Tampa Bay region.
As planning and entitlement efforts move forward, Verona is expected to become another major addition to Pasco County’s growing portfolio of master-planned communities, helping shape the future of one of Florida’s fastest-evolving residential markets.
