Cold Stone Creamery Expands Across Tampa Bay with New Sun City Center and Bradenton Locations

SUN CITY CENTER, FL — Cold Stone Creamery is continuing its expansion throughout the Tampa Bay region, with plans to open a new ice cream shop in Sun City Center, adding to the growing number of national food and beverage brands establishing locations across Hillsborough County.

The popular ice cream franchise is preparing to open at 3824 Sun City Center Boulevard, within Cypress Village Plaza, an established retail center serving the surrounding Sun City Center community.

According to recently submitted development documents, Odeh Saad Enterprise LLC is behind the new location. A representative of the planned restaurant confirmed that the opening is expected within the coming weeks, although an official opening date has not been announced.

New Location Coming to Cypress Village Plaza

The upcoming Cold Stone Creamery will join several existing businesses at Cypress Village Plaza, including Old Castle Restaurant and Beef ‘O’ Brady’s.

Situated along Sun City Center Boulevard, the shopping center serves an established residential market in southern Hillsborough County.

The addition of Cold Stone Creamery will introduce another nationally recognized dessert concept to the area, providing residents with additional dining and entertainment options.

The brand is known for its freshly prepared ice cream, customizable mix-ins, signature creations, ice cream cakes and specialty desserts.

Cold Stone Creamery Also Planning Bradenton Location

The Sun City Center announcement follows additional expansion activity in nearby Manatee County.

Cold Stone Creamery recently revealed plans for another location at 7217 State Road 64, Suite 102, in Bradenton, according to development documents submitted by Dattani Sarasota Inc.

The proposed Bradenton restaurant will join a growing commercial corridor featuring national restaurant operators, including Panda Express, LongHorn Steakhouse, CAVA and Miller’s Ale House.

Together, the two planned locations highlight the company’s continued interest in the Tampa Bay and Sarasota-Bradenton markets.

National Ice Cream Chain Continues Growth

Cold Stone Creamery operates more than 1,100 locations across the United States, making it one of the country’s most recognizable specialty ice cream franchises.

The company has built its brand around preparing customized ice cream creations on frozen granite stones, allowing customers to combine different flavors, candies, fruits and other mix-ins.

Its franchise-based expansion strategy allows local operators to establish restaurants within existing shopping centers and retail developments.

Retail Expansion Reflects Continued Tampa Bay Growth

The planned Sun City Center and Bradenton locations also demonstrate the continued demand for smaller retail spaces throughout the Tampa Bay region.

National dessert and quick-service concepts frequently target established shopping centers that offer convenient access, nearby residential communities and complementary restaurant tenants.

For commercial real estate investors, developers and landlords, the expansion of recognizable franchise brands can provide opportunities to attract new tenants and strengthen existing retail centers.

As residential development continues throughout southern Hillsborough and Manatee counties, established commercial corridors remain attractive destinations for national restaurant and specialty retail operators.

Cold Stone Creamery’s Sun City Center location is expected to open within the coming weeks, while an official opening date for the Bradenton location has not yet been announced.
